Copyright and Related Rights (WIPO) in Vietnam

Copyright is the right of an organization, individual to create or own a work. Copyright is recognized for literary, artistic, scientific works such as books, lectures, musical, theatrical, cinematographic, plastic, photography, architectural works, computer software. Copyright shall arise from the moment the work is fixed in a certain material form, irrespective of whether it is published or unpublished, registered or unregistered.

Related rights are the rights of organizations, individual to performances, record, video, broadcast programs, encrypted satellite signals.

Although register is not required to receive the rights, but register with the Copyright Office – Literature Arts will bring convenience to be recognized as an author when a dispute occurs.
