         According to law, it takes 13 – 18 months to consider an application. Specifically include these steps: Form appraisal (01 – 02 months); Publish on the gazette (02 months); Content appraisal (09 – 12 months); Grant and Publish the protection title (01 – 02 months).

In this process, the applicant must closely monitor, receive notice or respond to the opinion of a third person (if any). Besides, the owner can modify the trademark sample, the list of goods/services bearing the trademark according to the needs or the request of the Intellectual Property office. The amendment and supplementation of the application must not expand the scope of protection beyond the contents revealed in the list of goods/services. If the amendment expands the scope of protection or changes the nature of the objects, the applicant must submit a new application and all procedures are resumed.

Prepare a dossier  including:

• A trademark sample with dimensions bigger than 3 x 3 cm and smaller than 8 x 8 cm;
• A list of goods/services intended to register;
• A trademark registration declaration (if customers authorize Viet An Law to submit, this declaration will be signed by the representative of Viet An Law);
• A power of attorney Viet An Law to submit the dossier;
• Receipts of fee payment.
