The pandemic named Covid 19 has created a new worldwide problem and that is foreigners are stuck in Vietnam without visas. To fix this problem, the Vietnamese Government has reformed and enforced new laws. These new regulations based on Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014; Law 51/2019 / QH14 amending and supplementing several articles of Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014 as well as other regulations of the Government or competent authorities in charge of the prevention of Covid 19.
1. NG1 – Issued to the guest delegation’s members of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of Vietnam, President of the National Assembly, Prime Minister.
2. NG2 – Issued to the guest delegation’s members of Standing Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice President of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, State Auditor General; invited members of the delegation at the same level of the Minister and the equivalent, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council, Chairman of the People’s Committee of the province or city directly under the Central Government.
3. NG3 – Issued to the members of diplomatic missions, Consular Post, representative offices of international organizations under the United Nations, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations and their wife, husband, children under 18 years old, maids accompany each term.
4. NG4 – Issued to people who come to work with diplomatic missions, consulates, representative offices of international organizations affiliated to the United Nations, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations, and spouses and children under 18 years old go together; visitors to members of diplomatic missions, consulates, representative offices of international organizations affiliated to the United Nations, and representative offices of intergovernmental organizations.
5. LV1 – Issued to people who come to work with the departments, agencies, and units directly under the Central Government of the Communist Party of Vietnam; National Assembly, Government, Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuracy, State Audit, Ministries, Ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies; Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of province or city under a central authority.
6. LV2 – Issued to people who come to work with socio-political organizations, social organizations, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
7. ĐT – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and lawyers practicing in Vietnam.
· ĐT1 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with minimum contributed capital valued at VND 100 billion or investing in industries, trades subject to investment incentives, or preferential areas that are decided by the Government.
8. DN1 – Issued to foreigners who work with other enterprises or organizations with legal status prescribed by Vietnamese law.
DN2 – Issued to foreigners who offer services, establish a commercial presence, perform other activities under treaties to which Vietnam is a contracting party.
9. NN1 – Issued to heads of the representative offices, a project of international organizations, foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.
10. NN2 – Issued to head of representative offices, branches of foreign investors, representative offices of other economic, cultural, and professional organizations in Vietnam.
11. NN3 – Issued to people who come to work with non-governmental organizations, representative offices, branches of foreign investors, representative offices of other economic, cultural, and professional organizations in Vietnam.
12. DH – Issued to people who come to study or practice.
13. HN – Issued to conference or seminar attendees.
14. PV1 – Issued to reporters and press residing in Vietnam.
15. PV2 – Issued to short-term reporters and press in Vietnam.
16. LĐ1 – Issued to foreigners working in Vietnam with certification that they are not required to work with work permits unless otherwise prescribed by the international treaties to which Vietnam is a member.
LĐ2 – Issued to foreigners working in Vietnam who are required to have work permits.
17. DL – Issued to people entering the tourism
18. TT – Issued to foreigners who are wife, husband, children under 18 years old of foreigner issued with LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1, ĐT2, ĐT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ1, LĐ2 visas or foreigners who are father, mother, wife, husband, children of Vietnamese citizen.
19. VR – Issued to people visiting relatives or other purposes.
20. SQ – Issued to cases specified in Clause 3 Article 17 of this Law:
· Persons having working relations with overseas Vietnamese visa-issuing agencies and their spouses, children or persons who have a written request from competent agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country;
· Persons holding the guarantee note of the diplomatic mission or consular office of the country located in the host country.
21. EV – Electronic visas
Passport validity must be at least one month longer than the visa validity period. Viet An Law Firm also provides clients the service-related work permits in Vietnam.
