Duration of temporary residence card for foreign investors in Vietnam

Temporary residence card with the symbol DT is valid for no more than 05 years, with a specific term for investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam, specifically as follows:

• A temporary residence card issued to investors and representatives for foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with the symbol DT4 is valid for no more than 12 months.
• A temporary residence card issued to investors and representatives for foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with the symbol DT3 is valid for no more than 03 years.
• Temporary residence cards issued to investors and representatives for foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with symbols DT1, DT2 have a validity period not exceeding 05 years.

Conditions for granting temporary residence cards to foreign investors

Foreigner’s passport duration must be more than 1 year;

• Visas being used in Vietnam must have the symbols DT1, DT2; DT3; DT4;
• Proof of capital contribution or capital investment in a company in Vietnam according to Article 7 of Decree 152/2020ND-CP.
