Handicraft products made from glass, porcelain, and ceramics; works of art in ceramic, terracotta or glass; household items made of ceramic, porcelain, glass, and terracotta; dining table decorations; tools for household purposes; gifts and decorations including vases and flower pots; candle holder; decorative candlestick rings; cup, bowl, cup; kitchen tools; non-metal tableware (not including knives, spoons, forks).

Class 27

Carpet; mat; floor coverings; carpet underlayment; wall hangings, not made of woven fabric; fabric wallpaper.

Class 42

Architectural consulting; interior and exterior decoration design; graphic art design (excluding website design); product design such as furniture, lamps, home or office decorations, arts and crafts (not including fashion design); confirm the value of works of art.

Procedures for registering for curtains trademark in Vietnam

Step 1: Choose a mark and classification for the trademark

  • Trademark selection: Choose a trademark model that meets protection standards. The selected trademark is not similar to other registered trademarks or famous trademarks.
  • Select a list of products to register: The trademark application owner needs to select a list of products and services bearing the mark according to the instructions above. Classification of goods and services should be done according to the Nice Classification for trademarks with the latest updated versions.

Step 2: Research the trademark

To perform a trademark search, clients only need to provide Viet An Law:

  • Trademark sample;
  • List of goods and services that need to be searched and registered.

Step 3: Submit the registration application

  • After a profound search and the trademark is assessed as capable of registration, the applicant proceeds to submit the registration application.
  • Agency receiving and processing documents and collecting registration fees in Vietnam: National Office of Intellectual Property.

Step 4: Formality examination of the registration application

  • The time limit for the formality examination of a trademark application is 01 month from the date of application submission.
  • The National Office of Intellectual Property will consider whether the application meets the requirements in terms of form, label sample, application owner, filing rights, grouping, etc.
  • If the business’s registration application meets the conditions. The National Office of Intellectual Property will issue a Notice of acceptance of the valid application and publish the application.
  • If the business’s registration application does not meet the conditions. The National Office of Intellectual Property will issue a Notice of non-acceptance of the application and request the enterprise to make amendments. The application owner and representative of the application owner shall make amendments as requested. After that, submit the dispatch to the National Office of Intellectual Property and pay additional fees if the group is classified incorrectly.

Step 5: Publication of the trademark registration application

  • Time limit for publication of trademark application: 02 months from the date of notification of acceptance of valid application.
  • The application publication content includes information about the valid application recorded in the notice of acceptance of the valid application, trademark sample, and list of goods and services.

Step 6: Substantial examination of the application

The time limit for content examination is 09 months from the date of publication of the application.

Step 7: Pay the fee for granting a trademark registration certificate

After receiving notice of intention to grant a protection title, the applicant shall proceed to pay the granting fee.
